Pucker Up Baby!! – Winter lip survival guide
Winter sure brings the nasty dry, chapped and cracked lips. There is nothing pretty about your favorite lip color over top of it and no way to hide them. They need plenty of tlc. I was lucky to receive some fab lip goodies from the gals at ebeauty.ca, just in time too, as I was gnawing on my chapped lips like it was my last meal. Here are some great items to get and keep a perfect pout year round.

Start with exfoliating, you need to gently ‘push’ off those flakes. I pucker up and kiss my Clarisonic Mia facial cleansing brush everyday, after washing/rinsing my face. It gently scrubs and ‘poofs’ them up a bit. (try a soft bristled toothbrush or washcloth)…be gentle!!

The flakes are gone, now you have to moisturize. You use moisturizer and eye cream 2x a day, why aren’t you using a special lip cream?? Its OK, I didn’t think about it either until I tried Suggah anti-aging lip treatment from Sircuit Skin. So easy to use, only 2x a day (not a lip balm to carry in your purse) apply all over lips and just over the lip line. It instantly moisturizes and softens with shea butter. Hydrated lips are smoother, fuller and Oh yes, more kissable too!

Prep before pretty. Yep, you are going to prime them… Mereadesso’s Lip Treats “is a lush blend of evening primrose, grape seed, coconut and sunflower oils, enhanced by the added benefits of Vitamins A, C and E. It’s a perfect primer for ANY lipstick, gloss or lipliner: it doubles the wear time without a hint of waxy buildup” Sold in pairs and each ‘tube’ lasts up to 3 months. Put it on like a lipstick. It is so moist and silky on the lips, color will glide on.

Time to show them off!! I got to try Canadian makeup brand, Pandora’s Makeup Box Lipstick in ‘flushed’ a plum-red hue with a delicate vanilla scent and flavour. This color looks soooo fab when lips are smooth and hydrated, a brand worth trying. (I’ve got their mini brush set too, see here.)
