Laser Hair Removal for the face…at home!!

Jan. 15th, 2013 ~ CLICK HERE FOR CANADIAN ORDER UPDATE

Hello Gorgeous

My work can be pretty personal, it’s an ‘in your face‘  job sometimes LOL. When applying makeup, I see breakouts, scars, misbehaving skin and occasionally up noses ; ) However, none of that is as embarrassing compared to the topic of facial hair for the ladies (makeup in some areas can accentuate fuzzy areas) I know your saying, just rip off wax off what I see and keep going with the makeup. Well there is client discomfort for one, I’m not an esthetician and FYI: makeup does not adhere to freshly waxed skin and it actually accentuates freshly waxed areas even more than the hair. Why wax repeatedly when you can make hair just go away??

We can talk openly about body hair, but female facial hair? It’s still an embarrassing topic, it’s much easier to talk about tools to permanently remove it. So I will share the love and the news that the  TRIA Hair Removal Laser 4X  is here! It’s their next generation at home hair removal laser that deliver even faster results for body hair removal and now safe to use on facial hair for women. Say bye-bye to that fuzzy upper lip, side burns and stray chin hairs (not for brows) Click on photo for additional info.

Just think of the at home privacy use, convenience and much le$$ then signing up for a series of appointments that work around their schedule. But most importantly you want results and TRIA delivers. I personally use TRIA devices and have seen real results. This new one is now available for pre-order in the US as of this posting, I don’t yet have the release date for Canada, will update as soon as I do.

My Top 3 Recommended Beauty Devices/Tria & Clarisonic

Hello Gorgeous Gals,

Here are my Top 3 picks for Beauty Devices worth owning that I shared on a recent visit to Rogers Daytime TV.

Part of the silly intro to me, and me saying I was afraid I would forget things was because for that show I was also given the fab opportunity to be more than just a beauty expert.  I was invited to be the guest co-host with Derick, so also had to remember the guests and their subjects plus my own. Guess it went well ; ) because I’ll be baaaack to guest co-host the show for this Monday June 25th.

Anyways on to the Best Beauty Devices….watch away Gorgeous Gals

TRIA Skin Perfecting Blue Light ~ A highly effective acne treatment

PIMPLES, ZITS, ACNE, BLEMISHES, SPOTS, BLACKHEADS, WHITEHEADS.

What a headline and not a pretty topic.  As a makeup artist, it’s the #1 skin issue I work with and it’s not just for teens, I have a high number of adult clients that deal with it too! In some cases, acne can be downright emotional, affecting confidence levels and self-esteem.

It’s my job and mission as a makeup artist,  to conceal it and disguise the scarring and discoloration. Makeup can really help restore confidence and comfort to get through the day. However, when the makeup is removed there is the same skin underneath that needs help. If you are in a constant state of frustration due to trial and experiment after another of harsh products and methods of treating acne and breakouts, then I think you should take a look at this…

This is my honest to goodness opinion of the TRIA Skin Perfecting Blue Light  $245CAD (I own their Laser Hair Removal device too that gives fantastic results.)  I have occasional breakouts, but it was my teen (who is less bothered by it than I am) with breakouts and patch of acne that could benefit from it and heck, why not guinea pig the teen right? Plus it would be easier to study, view and report my findings. Here’s how it went down…literally! Let’s start the 2 week  introduction:

1~Two weeks is the time frame that TRIA promotes you will see changes. My teen uses a well known acne skincare line, but only the exfoliating cleanser and 1x/day (anything more is very drying/irritating to the skin) Less gentle formulas didn’t help with the blemishes.

2~His skincare routine was not changed. He washes his face every night and pats dry. It’s so easy to use. I simply touched  the TRIA to the skin (it turns on) and gently glided it all over the face for the full 5 minutes (you can use 2x/day at 2.5 minutes) giving a little extra time to the patch of acne. It shuts off at 5 minutes.

3~Ah yes, busy lives means there were a couple of days missed using the TRIA during the 2 weeks. Yet the changes were noticeably better.  There were a few active blemishes at the start, and instead of continuing to flare up I could see them shrinking. The lone breakouts were not happening as much and even the ‘angry’ redness of the acne was reduced. The skin over all had a much better, fresher appearance.

4~There were considerable changes within the first 2 weeks, just as TRIA had promised. Definitely worth continuing. Life is busy and he forgets to use it sometimes, but you can pick it up right were you left off. The acne patch has never gone back to what he started with and continues to improve. In my humble opinion, this was the first acne ‘treatment’ that showed such great changes without the torture of experimenting with another skin care line or prescription.  Truly a superior product towards winning the fight against acne.

{contest closed} TRIA Hair Removal Laser ~ Giveaway

CONTEST IS CLOSED

Hello Gorgeous,

I have been using the at home TRIA Hair Removal Laser for the past couple of months. So impressed that it took just a couple of treatments for me to start seeing results. I use it at my convenience every couple of weeks for a few minutes, there is no office appt needed and it’s easier to use than I thought it would be. You do have to shave before a treatment to prep for the laser but as time goes on shaving becomes less frequent between treatments as there is less hair. By early summer I should be well on my way to zero shaving. Very excited to partner up with TRIA to share one for a give-away, a $395 US retail value!

“The FDA-cleared TRIA Hair Removal Laser is the first and only laser for hair removal available for at-home use. Easy to use and with 5 comfort settings, TRIA’s laser for hair removal is guaranteed to deliver permanent results. NYC, Me & 24hrs

Hello Gorgeous Gals…

Recently, I was whisked off to NYC to be introduced to the TRIA Blue Light for Acne (post coming soon) I was only in town for less than 24hrs, so I missed out on some potential shopping, however my dear shopping companion CC (also known as: credit card) was happy. Instead of talking product this post, thought I’d share the view from my windows.

Leaving Toronto, the CN Tower illuminated in purple.

The sitting area of my suite, a retro style/feel in the modern London Hotel. I arrived at about 11:30 pm so no time for pre- evenings drinks out of the mini bar ; )

Oh yes, a luxury…King size bed all to myself (but I still sleep on my ‘side’ of the bed, that I would at home) Funny how some habits don’t change.

Let it be known I am very nervous of heights, and don’t get to close to any window over 3 stories : ) So here I am taking pics right at the window at 151 West 54th Street  from 21 stories (yes I know there are even higher buildings) My meeting the next morning was in a gorgeous suite at a ‘stomach butterfly making’ 53 stories high & the view…spectacular)

I’m an early morning person, where ever I am, so I wrapped up in a fluffy hotel robe and threw open the curtains of my room…to see the city getting started on its day. But first a straight out my window view of  the roof tops. I had seen the water towers before, but this time I probably noticed them more because a friend of mine who had just been to NYC before me, had taken lots of pictures of the city including the water towers only to accidentally delete them : ( So Scott, while these are no where near what you had…they made me think of you.

Now I’m brave enough to look down at the street, so exciting seeing NYC and its people getting their morning started. The energy is contagious and they were also having great weather, so after my meeting I did enjoy a walk to catch some of the energy, if only for a short time before heading home.

Dear NYC: I will be back again soon. ~Melody XO
